This is proof that simple subject matter doesn't have to be complex to be so compelling!
The composition and balance in this piece is superb. The depth of field is really well done. The focus adjustments chosen lead the eye to the crisp and concise focal point. The photo contrast and lighting are wonderfully executed. Reflection was taken into consideration and kept to an effective minimum.
I am usually one who leans towards subdued and minimal color but in this case, you have won me over. You have really brought out and even enhanced the natural, bright colors without having them become overwhelming and a distraction from the shapes and textures present.
I look forward to more still life photography from you that makes me stop to appreciate the beauty you have brought out in nature.
I really like the subdued colors, that I have come to love from these photos. The browns and greens go so perfectly with each other! I see it as almost trying to capture nature, which we wish we could do. The lighting is very good. I feel like I could be right there, walking amongst the jars. The one standing up would be from something I decided to go ahead and let go of. One thing I may have changes for myself, would be to have all of the jars be clear. It is nice to see patturned jars, but is a little distracting for me. Of course, it also gives me more to look at, and look for.
