It Still Feels Home

I really like this picture and what it says. It tells about the warmth and richness of Mother Earth, and about the miracle of life. The darkness of the earth, the shadows covering it give a feeling of intimacy, of softness which reminds of a mother's womb, while the translucent shoots striving for light evoke the hopes and emotions which always accompany the renewed promise of life. Aesthetically speaking, the eye is delighted by the contrasts, and by the purity of the light cast on the plants, which gives all its sense to photography. The title found an echo in me, but for a very personal reason: I have spent my childhood near my father's tree nursery, and the sensations conveyed in the picture make me indeed feel like home... More objectively, the title is slightly puzzling, but a hint of mystery helps the viewer making his/her own interpretation of the picture.
